Education in Germany: Comprehensive Overview of Schools from Grundschule to Gymnasium

Primary Schools (Grundschule)

Grundschule – are primary schools in Germany, where education continues from the first to the fourth grade (in some federal states up to the sixth grade). This stage of education is compulsory for all children and plays a key role in their initial education and socialization. Vocational Schools (Berufsschule)

Berufsschule is designed for students who simultaneously receive vocational training and work. These schools combine classroom theoretical education with practical work experience.
